Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Sacred Ritual is responsible for the personal data described here. We collect as little as we need to sell and deliver your order, and we do not sell your data.
What we collect
- Order details — your name, delivery address, phone number and email, entered on our Razorpay checkout page when you buy.
- Payment confirmation — Razorpay tells us that a payment succeeded and its amount. Card, UPI and bank details are handled by Razorpay and never reach us.
- Messages — anything you send us by email or Instagram.
- Website usage — pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location from your IP address, and cookie identifiers, collected by our hosting provider and by the Meta Pixel (see below).
How we use it
- To process, pack, ship and support your order, and to issue invoices and keep the tax and food-safety records the law requires.
- To reply to your messages.
- To measure and improve our advertising on Facebook and Instagram.
Advertising: the Meta Pixel and Conversions API
This site can use the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta Platforms that sets cookies and records events such as page views, product views and checkout clicks. It only runs if you choose "Accept" on our cookie banner. If you decline, no Meta cookies are set and no browsing events are sent. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the foot of every page; we remember your choice in your browser's local storage.
When you complete a purchase, our server also tells Meta about the order (the Conversions API): the order value, plus your email address and phone number in hashed (irreversibly scrambled) form, so Meta can match the purchase to an ad without receiving them in readable form. Meta uses this to tell us which ads work and to show our ads to relevant people. Meta processes this data under its own privacy policy; you can control ad personalisation in your Facebook and Instagram ad settings, and you can block or clear cookies in your browser at any time.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that help us run the shop, each for its own task: Razorpay (payments), our courier partners (delivery — name, address, phone), Cloudflare (website hosting and email routing), Meta (advertising measurement, as above), Google (our email inbox), and our accountant (invoices and tax filings). We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Order and invoice records are kept for as long as tax law requires (generally eight years). Messages are kept while useful for your support and then deleted. You can ask us to delete anything we are not legally required to keep.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct, complete or erase it, withdraw any consent you have given, and nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf. Write to hello@sacredritual.in; we will respond within the time the law allows. If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to our Grievance Officer (see Contact) and, after that, to the Data Protection Board of India.
Security and children
We use reputable providers with encrypted connections and limit access to your data to the people who need it to fulfil your order. Our shop is intended for adults; we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
